Chain lubrication for agricultural machines

The new OCL-M automatic chain lubrication system from SKF Lincoln has been specially developed for agricultural machinery such as balers and combine harvesters. The continuous and precise delivery of lubricant to the running chain ensures a high level of machine availability.

The chain service life can be extended up to 5 times by using this lubrication solution, thus increasing the reliability of the machine.

There are currently 2 complete kits available for up to 8 or up to 12 lubrication points. Freely configurable chain lubrication systems are available for up to 20 lubrication points.

During the harvest season, farmers always focus on the task at hand. There is no time to think about whether the baler will survive the entire harvest.

By reducing chain wear, the OCL-M automatic lubrication system minimises the risk of breakdowns. Compared to manual chain lubrication, the continuous supply of lubricant can increase reliability and service life fivefold.

Farmers can therefore be confident that their machines will not break down in the middle of harvesting operations.

The harsh conditions during harvesting and baling, caused by dust, moisture and vibrations, place constant stress on all machine elements and especially the chains. A long chain service life can only be achieved with continuous lubrication.

The robust construction of the OCL-M is designed for these harsh conditions. The system also has brushes that clean the chain during operation and the mechanical drive means that no hydraulic or electrical connections are required. Maintenance work is minimised thanks to the simple design.

OCL-M eliminates the need for manual lubrication. This not only saves time, but also increases safety - because manual lubrication of chains is not without danger. In addition, the precise metering of the automatic lubrication system can help to reduce lubricant costs.

The system is available as a pre-configured kit. It is easy to select and install - a cost-effective way to increase efficiency.
